Our Mission is to promote positive parenting, enhance family strengths and prevent abuse and neglect to infants and children.

Baby Bear Hugs changes the lives of “soon to be” parents and families with infants and toddlers by providing parenting education, resources, and support. We have two fabulous evidence based programs, the nationally recognized Nurse Family Partnership Program and SafeCare Colorado Program. Our "Core" Program is available for any parent or caregiver who would like the support; we meet these needs using the evidence based curriculum, Partners for a Healthy Baby. It is our goal that all children become productive, happy adults who give back to their communities; and they will have every opportunity available to them to fulfill their potential, develop assets that empower them to resist failure, and have strong supportive adults in their lives. All services are at no cost to families.

I was working with a family who just had their first child and noticed that she seemed not to be hitting developmental milestones. After speaking with her parents, we decided to do a developmental screening. Their daughter was definitely not where she should be for her age. The family was not ready to receive additional support, so we came up with a parent-lead plan to aid their young child's development and reassess her in two months (my goal being not letting their daughter fall any further behind developmentally, while promoting the referral to further assistance). It was amazing. This family worked with their child daily to encourage her in reaching the appropriate developmental milestones. This family, like any of us just needed the tools, support, and knowledge of child development to help support the development of their infant. I am pleased to say this beautiful baby girl is right where she should be developmentally.

We are constantly needing people to help promote our programs. Volunteers can provide visits, help with classes, join committees and many other opportunities. Contact us today for volunteer opportunities.

Funding Needs
Each year Baby Bear Hugs supports families with young children in our communities by reducing isolation, promoting positive parenting, enhancing family strengths and helping parents ensure their children are school ready; thus reducing neglect and abuse in infants and children. Each year our program searches for new ways to ensure viability and continued funding. Brackets for Good is an exciting opportunity to grow our donor base and outreach potential. Our goal is to raise $10,000.
